Before Submitting

What makes a useful report?

A good report does not need to prove anything. It only needs to be specific enough for the record to be reviewed, sourced, mapped, or placed into the correct ledger.

1
Tell us what happened.
Give the basic event, claim, sighting, object, place, broadcast, or source lead.
2
Give time and place.
Exact details are best, but approximate dates and locations are still useful.
3
Separate what you saw from what you believe.
The archive can preserve both, but they should not be mixed together.
4
Attach or name sources when possible.
Books, articles, screenshots, official records, photos, maps, videos, and witness notes all help review.
Review note: Submitting a report does not mean it will be published. It may become a research lead, correction note, Unclassified Ledger entry, or private review item first.
